The Caregiving Zone
This book, by Peggy Flynn, is a collection of 30 short chapters on the
challenges of serious illness to us all and, to the baby boomer generation
especially, ultimate dying and death. How can this “generational
juggernaut,” which has redesigned so much of the social fabric
to suit itself, deal with this one irrevocable reality—ageing and
diminishment?
Available through www.iuniverse.com and www.amazon.com.
RESEARCH REPORT:
Death, Dying, and Caregiving in San Francisico: Are We Ready?
The purpose of this report, funded by donations from individuals, is
to highlight some of the critical issues that shape our experience of
aging, caregiving and dying in San Francisco. Caregiving, especially
but not only during the dying process, is a complex interchange. It is
important that issues, illnesses, and more significantly, individual
experiences not be overly simplified as we seek to understand this process.
